The date is then removed from availability and reserved for your private group.

The cancellation policy still applies because the boat, captain, deckhand, and time have been held for you.

Submitting the reservation form is a request, not an automatic promise that the trip is the right fit.

Captain Troy reviews the information provided, including:

If something needs clarification, Captain Troy can communicate with you before confirmation.

This creates an opportunity to correct a poor fit before the date is finalized.

“Not Sure Yet” Is a Valid Choice

You do not need to guess which trip to select.

Choose “Not sure yet. Please help me choose” when:

• You have young children
• You are comparing six hours with a longer trip
• Someone has motion concerns

• You want Captain Troy’s recommendation

Asking for help does not create an obligation to book the longest or most expensive trip.

Weather Does Not Have to Be Perfect

Rain chances alone do not decide whether a trip goes.

If Captain Troy determines that the trip should not operate because of weather or sea conditions, you are not charged for the fishing trip.

When possible, we may try to find another available date.

If rescheduling is not practical, the weather cancellation does not become your financial responsibility.

This is different from a guest choosing not to go when the captain has determined that the trip can safely operate.

Safe Conditions Do Not Always Mean Flat Water

The Gulf naturally moves.

A fishing trip may be safe and fishable without being perfectly calm.

Families should think carefully when someone:

• Gets carsick
• Gets sick on amusement rides
• Has experienced seasickness

• Is strongly anxious about offshore travel

Motion-sickness prevention should be considered before the boat leaves the dock.

If someone becomes seasick and the group asks to return, Captain Troy will bring the boat back.

However, the full charter price and stated deckhand amount still apply.

No honest captain can promise a specific fish, size, species, number, or legal limit before the trip happens.
