For most families, children, first-time offshore anglers, grandparents, and mixed-experience groups, the 6 Hour Family Fun Trip is the best place to start.
Eight hours gives us additional time and range to work with the fishing day.
Our 10 Hour Full Day Fishing Trip is the longest trip we offer. It provides the most time, range, and flexibility available to travel farther, fish additional areas, troll different water, change techniques, and let the day develop.
Depending on season, regulations, water conditions, and fish location, longer trips may create opportunities for reef fish, mackerel, wahoo, amberjack, grouper, and other offshore species.
More time creates more opportunity. It does not create a guarantee.

Captain Troy personally reviews each reservation request before confirming it.
That gives us a chance to make sure the date, trip length, group size, departure time, and expectations make sense.
If something is unclear, Captain Troy may contact you before confirming the trip.
We would rather answer a question before your vacation than let you arrive unsure about what you purchased.
No deposit is charged when your trip is confirmed.
Your card is kept on file to hold the private charter date, similar to the way a hotel holds a reservation.
You pay the charter portion at the boat on the day of your trip.

After your reservation is accepted, you receive a confirmation with the important details for your trip.

If website prices change after your reservation is confirmed, we honor the price stated in your confirmation unless you later change the trip itself.
Bring food, drinks, sunscreen, sunglasses, comfortable clothing, personal medications, and motion-sickness prevention when appropriate.
Beer in cans is allowed for responsible adults. Glass containers and hard liquor are not allowed.

Gulf Coast forecasts can change frequently.
A rain symbol several days ahead does not automatically mean your fishing trip will be canceled.
Captain Troy evaluates wind, waves, thunderstorms, offshore conditions, safety, and passenger comfort.
If Captain Troy cancels your trip because of weather or unsafe sea conditions, you are not charged.
Please arrive approximately 25 minutes before your scheduled departure time.
This gives your group time to park, walk to the boat, load personal items, meet Captain Troy and Sam, and get settled without feeling rushed.

Arriving late does not automatically extend the scheduled return time, so being early helps protect your fishing day.
Before leaving the dock, Captain Troy and Sam explain the basic safety rules and help everyone get comfortable.
Then we head offshore.
The fishing plan depends on trip length, season, regulations, weather, sea conditions, fishing pressure, and what is happening on the Gulf that day.

We coach children and beginners, help with equipment, keep the fishing organized, and explain what is happening.
Some fishing days start fast. Other days take time to come together.
We may need to move, change techniques, try another area, troll different water, or give an opportunity more time.
Letting the day develop does not mean waiting around and hoping. It means continuing to fish, watching conditions, and making adjustments instead of deciding too early that the day is good or bad.
We fish hard on every trip. More time simply gives us more choices.

Safe offshore conditions do not always mean perfectly flat water.
If anyone in your group is concerned about motion sickness, prepare before the trip and speak with a physician or pharmacist when appropriate.
If your group asks to return early because of seasickness, fatigue, anxiety, or discomfort after departure, the full trip rate still applies.
At the end of the trip, we return to Orange Beach Marina and help your group unload personal items.
You pay the charter portion at the boat.
Deckhand gratuity is paid separately to the deckhand.
If your group keeps legal fish, we clean and bag them after the trip at no additional charge.
Leave a cooler in your vehicle so the bagged fish can be taken back to your condo, hotel, participating restaurant, or home.
What is biting and what can legally be kept are not always the same thing. Seasons, size limits, bag limits, and closures determine which fish may be kept.
A good fishing day ends with smiles, stories, and sometimes a nice mess of fish for supper.
