This past week has been interesting to say the least. The winds shifted and blew hard from the east all week. We had a big ground swell that made fishing fun. It’s not often we get large swells unless we have a tropical system around. The high pressure was sitting over middle Alabama and the bottom fishing was tough until about Wednesday and then they started biting like crazy. The low pressure system which has now turned into TS Debby made the fish start feeding. We fished all week south of Orange Beach and had some wonderful families on board. We caught Bonito, Red Snapper, King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel as well as some grouper that we had to release. You know, fishing in Orange Beach is fun when you are with the Distraction Charter boat.
