Our charters start the day with Captain Troy going over the rules of the boat. After the briefing, you can sit back and enjoy a wonderful experience on the water. Distraction uses light tackle fishing gear which is the envy of most other charters. You and your children get to use it without worrying about hurting it. We demonstrate and educate you on how to catch these fish. You will be laughing and grabbing your camera when your child or childlike spouse catches their first saltwater fish.

We understand that not everyone does this kind of charter fishing every day. We let you do the fishing. We don't do like other charters where the deckhand does all the fishing and finally hands the pole over to you after the fish is tired. We teach you how to hold the pole, bait your hook and help you get started deep sea fishing. Our saltwater guides will demonstrate the latest fishing techniques so you maximize your fish catch. We have seen anglers hold their poles upside down and reel backwards. It does not bother us. We promise to be gentle and always treat you and your family with respect. You will never hear us say anything that we would have to apologize for later.

4 Hour Trolling Fishing Trips
Trolling trips are designed for first time saltwater anglers, families with small kids and those who don't want to spend a whole day on the water. These short trips are our basic introduction to saltwater sportfishing. They are designed to keep you within sight of land. We want you to catch fish on every trip and we usually target species that are available. During the Fall and Winter (Nov. to Apr.), Redfish and Crevalle Jack are the most common. Bullreds can be caught trolling and or sightcasting. During the Spring Break (Mar. - Apr) Cobia begin their migratory run and these are caught sight fishing from the roof and casting a bait to the fish. Late Spring (May) is usually a transitional period and is when the migratory Spanish Mackerel start showing up along the beach. Summer (Jun, Jul, Aug) is when the King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel and Bonita really come in close to shore chasing bait. We run two trips daily during the Summer months. We depart at 7 a.m and 1 p.m. during summer months.
6 Hour Fishing Charter is the Best Trip We Offer
Best Value! These trips are our intermediate saltwater angling trips that provide a lot of action with light tackle. Everyone on the boat can fish at the same time with their own light tackle fishing pole. These trips offer a mixture of trolling and bottom fishing. They are great for those who want to have fun. You can expect to catch Red Snapper, Amberjack, Vermilion Snapper, White Snapper, King Mackerel and some Triggerfish. Red Snapper can only be harvested during the Federal Snapper season which is open during June and July each year. These trips are a blast because we use light tackle and do a lot of jigging. Our six hour trip is the best value because it allows you to have plenty of action and gets you back in time to relax. During the Summer months, you have a choice of morning or evening trips. We depart at 06:30 and 1:30pm during the longer days of Summer.
See Wild Dolphins & Marine Birds
We encourage you to bring your camera and take a picture of your kids and the fish as you catch them. We usually see Wild Dolphins, Sea Turtles and Marine Birds while out fishing. You may have a chance to see some of these animals up close and right beside the boat as you are fishing.
It happens every year. I have customer call me and say "Captain, we want to go with you." Those customers are the ones who learned to book early. If you wait until just before your trip, you may have to settle for less. Booking early is like being the first kid out of church on Easter. The first one out, gets the best eggs.

For those of you who don't want to fish that long, we offer a 4 hour trolling trip. Depending on what time of the year your book your fishing charter, you may be able to catch redfish, mackerel, cobia or even a big shark. Be sure to look at our fishing trips and decide which one would be best for you and your family. Most first time, novice saltwater anglers usually take our 6 hour reef fishing trip. Depending on the types of fishing you prefer, these offshore artificial reef fishing and angling trips usually produce red snapper, black snapper, vermilion snapper, king mackerel and bonita. All of which will give you a fight of a lifetime with our light tackle fishing poles.
Our fishing guides understand that you or your family may have never been out on a boat in the Gulf of Mexico and may have never experienced the thrill of deep sea fishing. Our guides promise to work hard to make you and your family or group feel comfortable at all times.

Saltwater Sportsmen Fishing In Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, Alabama
Our guides are sportsmen. We love the thrill of the hunt. Our saltwater sportsmen clients use our guide service because of the way we fish. No pressure, laid-back bass fishing style gear. A lot of our clients are bass anglers themselves.
Saltwater Sportsmen fishermen have a choice to either take our 4 hour trolling trips for mackerel, redfish or crevalle jacks. These four hour near shore fishing trips are good year round. In the Winter, we have the bullreds or redfish that move in just off the gulf shores and can be caught either trolling or by sightcasting. The redfish are usually around from November throughout the Winter and into April or Spring. They weigh 10 to 40 pounds each. Spring Break is the beginning of our fishing season. We have a variety of species to target during this time. From the Spring Cobia, Winter Redfish and year-round reef fishing, we are sure we can find a fish species that will certainly make your fishing trip remarkable.
Sportsmen may choose to take the reef fishing trips that fish over artificial reefs. On 6 hour trips or longer, saltwater sportsmen have the opportunity to fish with light tackle and catch a large variety of fish species. Depending on the length of the trip, we can catch you some snapper, grouper, jacks or mackerel to make your happy.
